this is scary, i’m stuck at the same situation as her, i can breath fully through my left side of the nose, and… it has a bump too, and BIG as a mofo, but it’s kinda bold when you see via profile and specific angels.

i’m scared to do this surgery, =/

I broke my nose and have a bump, I’m 18 so I’m gonna wait until I’m 21 to think about it.

IKR! My boyfriend and I were joking around, and he called me “big nose”. My nose isnt BIG, the ridge is just bumped up because I broke it at age 9! Even though he was “joking”, it still made me feel VERY VERY self concious…

  • RasberryKitten14

Depends…is your nose broken? Or is it the way it’s been all your life (natural)? If it’s something natural, and not broken, then it probably WILL grow back. A “good age” for it then would probably be about 18-21+. If BROKEN, then your teens! Get it fixed early on :) it wont grow back, because the way it was, WASNT natural! It was broken.

It’ll probably just grow regular. Because all their really doing it putting it back to normal by taking off broken bone (depends on how bad, or how many times you broke your nose…). It is better to get it done in your TEENS, because that’s when you’ll start noticing the different gender more(hopefully), and you’ll be A LOT more self concious!

My nose has been broken about 6 times… The first time was when I was 9. I was running through the house and some papers fell down from a chair infront of me while I was going around a corner, and I slipped on them, and fell on my face onto the hard wooden floor. My nose was bleeding and it hurt so bad! Now I have this ugly lump on the bridge of my nose! And one nostril is half closed and it’s harder to breathe out of it. I’ve wanted it fixed for so long!! I’m 14 now btw. My parents say maybe=]

Removal of the packing was the worst pain I have ever gone through. My eyes wattered litterally. Although anxious of the splint removal to reveal the result, Im not looking fwd to the removal of my stitches at all!!! |:0(

  • lDolLlL

so your parents were okay with it?

  • budster525

i gotta have reconstructive and plastic surgery on my nose again in like a month or two :/ and im only 15

  • streethustler9229

i just got the same surgery today my nose was broken and my right was closed . i feel like crap now because of the surgery but am happy i got it .. am 17 though i think 13 is too young to get a surgery on the nose because ur nose might start growing crooked. but good luck anyway. And the cast on my nose is a pain in the ass.

  • saveit4later89

Although I have heard your nose will grow back again if you get surgery to young.. what would be a apropiate age?

  • saveit4later89

her nose is perfect the way it was. boys are mean!

  • TehSmellulare

Do all the teenagers that have the surgery pay for it themselves? Because I need one but my parents sure aren’t going to pay for it it.

  • bodungdam

  • btnysprs

if it is a good dr then like 15, 000 to 20, 000

  • thefenriz

u know i had the same situation
im 16 now and tomorrow im going to rhinoplasty im so scared u cant believe although i wanted it from the age of 9 . u should really think if u want it . if u do , go and do it. 13 is too young , because ur bones will grow . the age when u can start of is 15 i think. but i dont know anything about how r looking so maybe u have ended ur physical development (i dont know how to say it in english sorry) and ur bones will stay that way in this case u can have one.

  • drpaulnassif

When rhinoplasty is performed on children before they have stopped growing, which is around the age of 15 for girls and 18 for boys, the nose will grow after the procedure. It’s best to postpone surgery until growth has been completed because continued growth of the nose can negatively impact the results achieved through surgery.
